Rental policies

Everything you need to know to rent with Roady: requirements, coverage, deposit and terms. Full transparency, no hidden fees.

Requirements to rent

  • A valid driver's license.
  • An official ID (passport or government ID).
  • A security deposit by credit or debit card (Mexican or international) or in cash.

Minimum rental and mileage

The minimum rental is 3 days. All our cars include unlimited mileage so you can explore the Riviera Maya freely.

Delivery and pickup

  • Free delivery and pickup at Cancun Airport (CUN).
  • Delivery to Cancun downtown, hotel zone, Playa del Carmen and Tulum.

Coverage and protection

Our cars include coverage. We also offer an optional protection to reduce your liability in case of an incident. We explain exactly what it covers before you confirm your booking.

Driving area

The car may travel freely within Quintana Roo and Yucatan. Written authorization from Roady is required to travel to other states.

Assistance and replacement

In case of mechanical failure not caused by the driver, we arrange a replacement vehicle as soon as possible. Our support is available 24/7 via WhatsApp.

Payment

You can pay for your rental in US dollars or Mexican pesos.

Security deposit

A refundable deposit is required and returned when you bring the car back in the same condition:

  • Cars: US$250 or $4,000 MXN.
  • SUVs, minivans and vans: US$450 or $7,000 MXN.

You can leave it with a credit or debit card, Mexican or international, or in cash. If you use a card, how long the refund takes to show up depends on your bank.

Fuel

The car is delivered with a fuel level and must be returned at the same level.
